Peer Support

The Dragon Slayers’ Guild Peer Support programs connect people who share lived experience with disability, chronic illness, and mental health challenges.

Through the DSG Warmline, Pow Wow with a Peer sessions, and community support, we help people face their dragons and remember they don’t have to fight alone.

A phone lies nearby, and speech bubbles with a heart and chat dots appear above them, symbolizing supportive conversation and peer connection. The scene is framed inside a circular border with a warm orange background in a soft storybook style.

What Peer Support Is

DSG’s Peer Support programs create spaces where people living with disability, chronic illness, and mental health challenges can connect with others who truly understand through lived experience.

Through the DSG Warmline, Pow Wow with a Peer conversations, and community support, the Dragon Slayers’ Guild offers opportunities for people to share experiences, talk through challenges, and feel less alone.

Peer support isn’t therapy or clinical care. It’s about listening, understanding, and walking alongside one another through the realities of disability, chronic illness, and mental health challenges.

Sometimes the hardest part isn’t the diagnosis or the struggle itself — it’s feeling like no one understands what you’re facing.

Peer support exists to remind people that they are not alone in the fight.
