CHOP: 6th Annual Healing Hearts and Minds Event

August 8 @ 12:30 pm 4:30 pm

The event brings together families, local organizations, athletes, and community members to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and provide accessible resources related to mental health and suicide prevention — all in an environment that feels welcoming, uplifting, and full of life.

This year, we are excited to incorporate the More Than Flag Football movement, which uses athletics as a powerful platform to open conversations around mental health, recognize mental health red flags, and remind young people and families that strength includes asking for help. Through interactive education and on-field engagement, this initiative reinforces that mental wellness matters just as much as physical health.

Athlete involvement plays a critical role in breaking stigma — showing youth and families that mental health awareness belongs in every space, including sports.

In addition to athletic participation, we are also welcoming entertainment, talent, and engaging experiences that help bring energy and excitement to the day. This includes athletes, performers, speakers, musicians, and interactive contributors who want to help create moments of connection, inspiration, and hope for attendees of all ages.

Your attendance would help our community experience not just awareness, but also joy, teamwork, and togetherness — powerful reminders that healing and hope can thrive side by side.
