Guild Guidance

We love questions so much
we save them here!

We may have the question already answered below,
but if we don’t,

please ask away!
We are happy to help.

General đź’¬

The Dragon Slayers’ Guild exists to make support more accessible.

We offer peer support, resources, and connection for people navigating disabilities, chronic health challenges, mental health, and life’s heavier moments — all in a space that meets you where you are.

We use dragons as a way to represent the hard things — the ones that feel big, heavy, or hard to put into words.

Everyone has their own dragons.

At DSG, you don’t have to face yours alone.

DSG is for anyone who could use support, connection, or guidance — especially those navigating disability, chronic illness, or mental health challenges.

You don’t have to have everything figured out on your own– it takes a village. đź’›

đź’› Peer Support: DSG Warmline

The Warmline is a chat-based space where you can talk to someone who understands.

It’s not therapy, and it’s not a crisis line — it’s a place for real conversation, support, and connection when you need it.

You can utilize the DSG Warmline for up to 30 minutes each chat.

No — and we want to be really clear about that.

If you are in immediate danger or need urgent support, please contact 988 or your local emergency services.

We’re here for support and connection, but we are not equipped for crisis intervention.

🤝 Peer Support: Pow Wow Sessions

A Pow Wow session is a scheduled, one-on-one conversation with a peer supporter.

It’s a space to talk things through, feel heard, and connect with someone who understands — at a pace that feels right for you.

You can talk with your peer for up to 30 minutes each session.

The Warmline is for drop-in support when you need someone in the moment.

Pow Wow sessions are scheduled ahead of time and offer more consistent, ongoing connection with the same person.

No.

The Dragon Slayers’ Guild believes that it takes a village to slay dragons. That being said, the guild is not comprised of licensed medical professionals or therapists. Peer support services provided should not take the place of therapy.

🛡️Safety and Boundaries

No — we are not therapists or medical professionals.

We provide peer support, which means you’re talking with someone who understands through lived experience — not clinical or medical care.

We’re here to listen, support, and walk alongside you — not to diagnose or treat.

If you are in immediate danger or need urgent support, please contact 988 or your local emergency services.

The Warmline and peer support services are not equipped for crisis intervention, but you deserve support — and there are people ready to help you right now

We respect your privacy and keep conversations as confidential as possible.

However, if someone is at risk of harm, we may need to take steps to ensure safety.

You are always welcome to share only what you feel comfortable sharing.

Equipment Support🛠️

We offer a variety of adaptive and supportive items, including 3D printed tools and equipment available through our lending library.

Our goal is to provide practical solutions that can make everyday tasks a little easier and more accessible.

No — our 3D printed items are not medical grade and are not approved or regulated by any medical or governing body.

They are created to offer support and accessibility, but they are not a substitute for professional medical equipment or advice.

You can reach out to us through our contact form or equipment support page to get started.

We’ll talk through what you need, check availability, and help you figure out the next best step — whether that’s borrowing an item or exploring a custom solution.

đź’°Funding Support

Providing direct funding support is a goal of The Dragon Slayers’ Guild, and something we are actively working toward.

When we are unable to provide direct funding support, we focus on helping you find and navigate existing funding options and resources

We help you explore possible funding sources, understand your options, and navigate next steps.

This can include pointing you toward grants, programs, or other resources that align with your needs — and helping you make sense of the process along the way.

While we do our best to guide and support you, we are not lawyers or financial advisors, and cannot provide legal or financial advice

You can reach out through our contact form or funding support page to get started.

We’ll talk through your situation and help you identify potential options — at a pace that works for you..
